Areca Wilson, player 419, is a passionate, creative, and thoughtful storyteller and communicator who focuses on production, self-portraiture and travel. Originally from the Island of Trinidad, Areca moved to the United States at age 17 and is currently on a mission to live her best life in Los Angeles, CA. Areca enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 2012 and served as a public affairs specialist. For a decade, she used her writing, photography, design, and videography skills to communicate top executives' strategic intent. In addition, her military career allowed her to travel across Europe, where she got the unique opportunity to be part of an integrated communications team of allies and partners. Today, Areca is a 2nd Assistant Camera and photographer with a focus on production, portraits, lifestyle and travel. Through her personal and professional work, she communicates heart and empathy. Areca’s accomplishments include 16 media awards, documenting various distinguished visitors, including the President of the United States and Secretary of Defense. In addition, her work has been published internationally by several news outlets, including The New York Times, Reuters and CNN.
