James Davisson, player 269, is based in both Washington, DC, and Seoul, South Korea, where he has lived for the last four years, working with students from North Korea through the Fulbright Program. He is passionate about people, and one of his top goals in life is to help people find belonging and meaningful connection in their communities. As a Fulbright Scholar in South Korea since 2019, James has served as a cultural ambassador and teacher for students from South Korea, North Korea, and China. He has appeared with his students on the popular Korean television show "어서와~ 한국은 처음이지? (Welcome, First Time in Korea?)," and he has frequently used TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram to share about life in both South Korea and North Korea. James is currently working at The George Washington University Institute for Korean Studies at the Elliott School of International Affairs, and he hopes to continue working with students from North Korea and raising awareness about the situation of refugees around the world.
